Privacy Notice.
No surveillance. No advertising trackers. No selling your information. Here's exactly what we collect and why.
The short version: We collect only what you give us — your email and first name if you sign up for the launch list. We use this to email you about The Dad Hat Co. and nothing else. We don't sell, share, or rent your information. There are no advertising trackers on this site.
Who we are
The Dad Hat Co. is a small hat label. You can reach us at hello@thedadhat.com.
What we collect
We collect only the information you actively provide:
- Launch list signup — your first name and email address when you sign up on the home page.
- Future orders — once we launch, hat orders will be processed by our e-commerce provider, who will handle your shipping and payment details under their own privacy policy. We don't see your payment information.
We don't run analytics, advertising pixels, or tracking scripts on this site.
How we use it
- Launch announcement — one email when the first batch is live.
- Occasional updates — once we're up and running, you'll hear from us about new colorways, restocks, and the occasional dad joke. Roughly once a month at most.
- Replies to your messages — if you email us, we read every message and reply when we can.
Who we share it with
We use the following service providers to run the site. They each have their own privacy practices, but they only handle your data on our behalf:
- Brevo (formerly Sendinblue) — sends our launch emails and stores subscriber email addresses. Brevo's privacy policy.
- Fontshare — serves the typefaces used on the site. Loading a font transmits your IP address to Fontshare. Fontshare's privacy policy.
- GoDaddy — our domain registrar, which logs basic access information.
We never sell, rent, or trade your information to anyone, for any purpose.
Cookies
This site does not set cookies for analytics, advertising, or tracking. Once the merch shop is live, our checkout provider will set cart and session cookies on their domain only when you interact with the buy button. Those cookies are essential to making a purchase and disappear when you close your browser session.
Your choices
- Unsubscribe any time — every email has a one-click unsubscribe link at the bottom.
- Ask us to delete your data — email hello@thedadhat.com and we'll remove your information from our records.
- Ask what we have on file — same email; we'll send you whatever we hold about you.
Children
This site is intended for general audiences. We don't knowingly collect information from children under 13. If you believe a child has submitted information through the site, contact us and we'll delete it.
Changes to this notice
If our practices change meaningfully, we'll update this page and revise the "last updated" date at the top. The latest version will always live here.
